Every first Wednesday of the month, legal advice for artists is offered at the Gessnerallee offices. The lawyers provide advice to artists from all disciplines in a various languages.

ARITA aims to provide legal support to artists and creative professionals across all disciplines. It offers legal advice and organises workshops on legal issues in the arts and other topics. In collaboration with Gessnerallee, ARITA holds a consultation hour every first Wednesday evening of the month.

Two legal professionals are available for each consultation to discuss private and confidential matters with artists. Each consultation lasts 30 minutes. Membership of ARITA is required. The annual membership fee is 20 Swiss francs. You can find more information about membership at the following link: https://rightsinthearts.org/membership.

Appointments can be booked directly through ARITA.

Information on accessibility and language

  • Languages: In spoken English, German, Italian and French.
    Italian and French available on request only

  • Location: Theater Gessnerallee, Gessnerallee 8, 8001 Zurich, Office. The offices are located in the passageway to the Reithalle restaurant, behind the frosted glass door, on the first floor.

  • Access: The Gessnerallee offices are on the first floor and are not accessible without steps.

  • Association for Rights in the Arts (ARITA) is a non-profit organisation based in Zurich, which aims to promote artistic development by providing artists and creative professionals with the legal advice they need for their careers and work.
